Richard Pak is currently the Co-founder & CEO of Curvalux Inc. and a Director & Board Member of Saturn Satellite Networks, Inc., bringing over 30 years of leadership experience as an entrepreneur and senior executive in the technology, telecommunications, and satellite industries.
Before joining Curvalux, Mr. Pak served as Chief Development OƯicer at ABS, a global satellite operator, where he was responsible for securing over $500 million in commercial transactions. His accomplishments include multiple "Condosat" sales to KT Corporation and GT Satellite Systems, S.A., as well as expanding ABS’s satellite fleet through strategic acquisitions of in-orbit satellite assets from Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), Korea Telecom (KT), and SK Telecom (SKT). The company was later sold to private equity firm Permira Equity Partners.
An early pioneer in internet broadcasting and streaming, in 1995 Mr. Pak was instrumental in building an internet startup company AudioNet (later rebranded Broadcast.com) to become the world’s first and largest internet streaming company in the world. In 1997, Broadcast.com achieved a record-breaking IPO on NASDAQ. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Pak played a key role in the company’s landmark $5.7 billion merger with Yahoo! Inc. Following this success, Mr. Pak relocated to Asia where he served as the Regional Managing Director for Yahoo!’s Business & Enterprise Services unit, overseeing operations across multiple Asia-Pacific markets, including Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Singapore, India, and Australia.
Mr. Pak holds a degree in Business Analysis and Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
